As a freelance contract designer for the NSW Government - Premier and Cabinet, I played a significant role in the Creative Services Department and the regional division, focusing on the My Community Project (MCP) initiative.
MCP is an empowering program that allows individuals to propose community project ideas and vote for the best proposals in their area. The projects with the most votes receive funding, totalling $24.4 million in 2019, to bring their visions to life and uplift local communities. The initiative is made possible through the support of the NSW Generations Fund, which maintains sustainable debt levels and funds meaningful community projects, exemplifying the government's commitment to growth and empowerment.
Brief:
Create accessible documentation in alignment with NSW Government branding guidelines. I designed four informative documents for the My Community Project (MCP). These materials feature supplied illustrations with the purpose of helping residents understand essential information and the application process for project submissions. Creative:
The user-friendly documents served as comprehensive guide, offering step-by-step instructions to individuals on improving their communities through the My Community Project (MCP) initiative. Accessible, downloadable PDFs on the website provide clear directions and actionable assistance for the community. The integration of recognisable characters on the covers facilitates instant recognition of this campaign, ensuring users easily find the relevant forms.
I. Collaborated closely with the regional team to ensure strict adherence to brand consistency and government regulations, providing a seamless and unified presentation of the MCP materials.
The documents provided a user-friendly resource through its digestible design consideration and allowed individuals to actively participate in the MCP initiative and contribute to their communities.
